Obama for yo Mama!

mood: Mr. Chopsticks = YUM,!!!

Good job, Iowa.
Next bowl of creamed corn is on me.

I must admit, I was one of the skeptical ones when he first announced his run for the presidency. Though I had someone speak one thing to me about experience counting. Bush had "experience", but look where that got us. Clinton and Edwards (my initial choice) have had years of experience, but their recent record has left me wanting. From what I have seen, Obama has had a decent record of maintaining a straight forward stance on the issues he has opinions on. I respect that. And it's just.... I don't know... I feel like this could be a history-making event. Not since Jessie Jackson (Condi Rice and Alan Keyes don't count, for obvious reasons) has there been an African-American so close to becoming leader of the most free and powerful nation on the planet. So yeah... I'm ready for something to happen. This gives me hope. Hope for what? I have little idea. I just tire of the partisanship as usual. I see Barack as the man that can at least bring us a little closer together. Liberalism at it's most affective.

In the least, it would be funny to see people (someone like the Grand Wizard of the Klan chapter in Tuscaloosa, Alabama) have a complete mental meltdown/cranial explosion, when they realize they have to answer or follow the rule of a black man. I can see Juan Williams at Fox News jump up in Bret Hume's face and say "Gotcha Bitch!"

I'm joining the UNT College Democrats this year. I've put it off for far too long.

Also, I was talking it over with some folks over dinner tonight... Where the hell do you meet people in this town? I've been here about three years, and still know so little about the area.
I was advised the I should basically hit up the laundromat, video stores (though Netflix hurts that), the gym (extra incentive for me to go regularly), house shows for bands, and bookstores... just not my bookstore. I could never really date someone at work. I think that would be a little odd. Though I do have a small thing for one person at work.

Hmmm...

Finally, I must say that Mr. Chopsticks is the shizz-nizzle. Everyone in the Denton area should go there. Our service was crap (though the waitress was very nice, we rarely saw her), but the food was great. I'll just say that hopefully this was an off night.
